Join Second Life on International Museum Day (18 May), deadline for participation, April 18th

Each year, ICOM, the UNESCO International Council of Museums organizes an International Museum Day on May 18. This year, the theme is: “Museums: agents of social change and development”. ICOM Headquarters is proposing an activity at The Tech Museum of Innovation – The Tech Virtual – on Second Life, the 3D online platform. We would like technology professionals around the world to set up, in their museum, computer terminals with some personnel from the museum acquainted with this virtual world to aid the public, museum professionals, artists and the entire museum community to discuss, debate and meet together for all the online IMD festivities on 18 May. To get started on Second Life, please create your “avatar” and download SECOND LIFE onto your computer.
